Stuðulsfelagið Víkingabygd
Stuðulsfelagið Víkingabygd is an interest group which was founded in connection to the first Festívalhöll in 2021. The purpose is to collect finances to build an authentic Faroese Viking village.
Stuðulsfelagið Víkingabygd is the organizer of the festival in close cooperation with Berserk and Viking Events from Faroe Islands and Rimmugýgur from Iceland.
Berserk
Berserk is a reenactment group focusing on recreating life in the Faroe Islands in the Viking age as authentic as possible.
This is the only Faroese reenactment group with fighting on the menu.
Viking Events
Viking Events is a entrepreneurial company, that first and foremost organizes events, that are about the Viking age
Viking Events, and the people behind, have organized several big and small events in the Faroe Islands.
Rimmugýgur
Rimmugýgur is a Viking re-enactment group founded in Iceland in 1997. In the beginning we were primarily a warrior group, but soon we added handcrafters and artists who have given us the possibility to create a sizeable Viking Festival with many possibilities. Battles, handcraft, music and games etc. Now we have close to 200 members.
